Fractional CTO.
Technology gets an owner. Your team gets direction. You get straight answers.
Who it is for. Founders and CEOs who have engineers or agencies but nobody senior owning the roadmap, the architecture, the hiring and the risk.
Production releases at Red Acre, from none in the previous nine months
Fractional CTO in Malta and Europe.
A fractional CTO is a senior technology leader who works with your company part of the time instead of full-time. You get the same decisions, accountability and hiring judgement as a full-time CTO, for the stage you are at now. I work with founders, CEOs and boards in Malta and across Europe, usually in fintech, iGaming and SaaS.
What you get out of it.
One roadmap the business and the engineers both agree on
Releases that ship weekly, then daily, instead of piling up
Hiring done properly, including the full-time CTO when it is time
Board and investor questions answered without guesswork
What happens after you say yes.
Listen and measure.
I meet the team, read the code and the tickets, and measure how work actually flows from idea to production.
Write it down.
You get a short written assessment: what is working, what is at risk, and what I would change first, in plain language.
Fix the first bottleneck.
We pick the change with the biggest payoff, usually release flow or priorities, and get it done inside the month.
What keeps going.
- Weekly session with you, plus team rituals I attend
- Roadmap and architecture decisions, written down
- Hiring, interviews and vendor reviews
- A one-page monthly report: shipped, risks, next
Fractional CTO, answered.
What does a fractional CTO actually do?
Owns the technology side of the business: the roadmap, the architecture, how the team delivers, who gets hired and what it all costs. I attend the meetings that matter, make the calls that need a senior person, and write them down so the team can move without waiting for me.
When is a fractional CTO better than a full-time hire?
When you need senior judgement but not 40 hours a week of it. Typically teams of up to 50 engineers, companies working with agencies, or businesses between CTOs. When you do need a full-time CTO, I help you hire them and hand over.
Can you work with our existing agency or developers?
Yes. Many clients have an outsourced team. I set priorities, review the work and hold the agency to a clear standard, which usually saves more than it costs.
